Stacking nicely atm but this will end in my neck of the woods sooner then later. Airport will probably end up 3-4” while west metro and areas closer to Duluth see 6-8”

Looks like MSP got around 6". Personally I'm surprised given how much wintry mix they got earlier in the day. Banding did work considering MSP got ~0.2" more liquid than models had.

Yep, finished with 5.5” officially which sets a new daily record for the date (5.0 in 1896) and brings our seasonal total up to 14.8”

We had a few hours of +SN and the pivot worked out for us. Oh what could have been if we hadn’t had the ice earlier...

Nice! That mid-level dry slot hung on once the warm nose eroded which allowed FZRA to continue into early evening. I don't recall the GFS having that but I think hi-res models did. MSP METAR had 0.23 liquid reported during that mixed precip phase so it's fair to assume that would've been around another 2-3 inches had that been snow.

Wonder when ORD will reach 15" seasonal snow totals? Over/under mid January

3-6" of snow around here, with 6-10" much more west(NW to SW) of the Lake. Snow this time of year really helps keep things bright on a sunny day like today, but it'll slowly melt away as temps forecast to be above freezing during the upcoming aftrns. Looks pretty wet and sloppy for the upcoming weekend with rain over to snow.

Back to normal Nov weather after a gorgeous Indian Summer pt 2 or 3 or 4 (can't remember how many now since the freeze of early Sept) :)

Looks like we got all of November's snow in October this year.

1.3" of rain yesterday, then it ended as some freezing rain and a skiff of snow.  Doesn't look like there will be meaningful snow on opening day this year.  Pretty rare for this area.

Have had my eye on this guy since last summer but he was too young last fall.  I know his routine pretty well and he's use to my scent I think.  Hopefully he is mine.

My daughter-in-law shot her deer already as opener was this past weekend. My son still waiting to get his chance.

Tasty critters. I have quite a few racks on my wall from years of hunting.

I thought the does were better eating, meat less rangy than that of the bucks.

Can't take antlerless here in this part of MI or I would... for 6 years now I believe.
Wolves and coyot's sure take their share, however.  I see shredded remains frequently.  I don't mind buck meat tho, as long as it isn't too late in the season.

MSP could pick up a quick inch, maybe even two later this morning and afternoon with what (I think?) is an anafront (could be off on that). I think a brief period of moderate snow is in the cards.

Radars got that squall line look to it. Should be some impressive rates here later on this morning.
