The question that jumps out at me right away is whether moisture return would be sufficient. Looks like a fairly typical dynamic system for this time of year though. Averaging the four major globals would put dew points near 60F w/ PWATs well over 1". More than enough w/ those dynamics in November. Having the high where it is and the tropical in the Gulf could actually be a good thing in that an indirect feed of moisture (from the Atlantic rather than the Gulf) won't allow for widespread low clouds to reduce the chances of heating up ahead of the front. To me, the more likely thing that could go wrong is that the Rockies energy ejects in pieces, in a positively tilted junk way that doesn't allow for a more consolidated, deepening low. Some guidance still hints at that scenario. 1
cyclone77
MLI hit 73 for the 3rd day in a row. 71/73/71 in that stretch. Very nice albeit boring weather.

OrdIowPitMsp
Forecast high of 77 today. The record on this date is 73 set way back in the Stone Age of 2016.
OrdIowPitMsp
Also worth mentioning that the all time November record high temp in Minneapolis is 77. Very likely could see the monthly record fall today.
Chicago Storm
A great stretch we’re in right now. 69/74/71 at ORD the past 3 days, with 70’s to continue today through Tuesday. The high of 74 on Wednesday (4th) tied the record high for the date, set in 1978. Record highs will be in jeopardy today through Tuesday as well..

Snowstorms
21C right now at YYZ, which is close to 70F. Never thought we'd hit it again until next Spring but there's a good chance we approach 20C (70F) every day until next Tuesday. What a crazy year.
IWXwx
I'm pretty sure that Dayton is socked in with clouds and 49°. Meanwhile, it is a sunny 71 locally. Later, I'm going to dig up the number of 70 degree and above days for November at FWA and SBN. I'm guessing that this year will bump up against the records. fluoronium
I'm astonished how nice the weather has been! A well needed slice of heaven in an otherwise terrible year. Haven't broken any daily records here yet but the duration of this warmth is impressive to say the least. That topped with bright sunshine is hard to beat. The only thing that would make it better would be finishing off this warm spell with a nice fall severe setup.

Elections, critters, and weather (ECW for short). Seems I remember a wrestling franchise like that, which was rather wild. Seems to fit. Oh, and BTW, I don't see 2021 being boring either. At least in the weather dept.
Brian D
Duluth set monthly record at 75, so that exceeds the old record (73 11/4/2020, 11/3/1903). Should be a bunch more records that bit the dust for the daily and monthly around the broader region, again.
OrdIowPitMsp
While Minneapolis didn’t break the November monthly record high, we did set a daily record high of 75 today.

Stebo
It was 80 in a few spots in the UP in November. Marquette both NWS 75 and City 77 broke their all time records by 4 today. Absolutely incredible.

Yeah it was in a few places. MQT is going to provide a full list of records today. I have to say, this is very enjoyable. It's nice wearing only shorts outside as we near mid-nov. 1
Snownado
I wish every fall was like this. I really dont like cold and snow before Thanksgiving. This reminds me of autumns in the south.

Guess I’m speaking for the upper lakes mostly. Lake Superior Water temp is forecast to rise over the next 10 days. Will lead to very heavy snow here in the weeks to come.
Torchageddon
I'm already at 20ºC, too easy. My 7-day now shows minimal rain on Tuesday night into Wednesday (1mm) and mainly sunny conditions the rest of the period . Thurs to Sat all 8C with 6 hours of sun respectively (not that I trust that but if I were to doubt anything, it'd be how low those highs are). Doesn't feel like it... probably because it hasn't been in the 80s like March 2012. Will be interesting to see how it ends up comparing in a relative sense.
