Snowstorms
Still got about 3-4" on the ground from the storm on Sunday. Models have about 1-2" tonight across Toronto before the changeover. Closer to 1cm near the Lake.

Hoosier
This will be a rare sappy post but want to wish everyone a wonderful, happy thanksgiving! I've known a few of you through these boards for about 20 years now but consider everyone to be part of my online extended family. Here's hoping that we all get through the upcoming months with our health... and plenty of snow.

Spartman
A second overcast Thanksgiving in a row. Just like last year, but this overcast Thanksgiving had a trace of rain while last year's overcast Thanksgiving was completely dry. Since Black Friday was overcast last year as well, we may very well repeat it tomorrow at this rate.

purduewx80
ORD has been forced onto an east op due to the lake-effect clouds. Aircraft arriving on west flow (landing east to west) earlier this morning were spending too much time within the clouds on final and picked up significant icing as a result. Soundings show saturation in the layer of clouds w/ temps at or above -10C, which is pretty much ideal for icing. The layer of saturation/potential icing is shallower on the west side of the airport, so this is a more optimal configuration. Fortunately, winds are just northerly enough that they could land E or W without having too significant a tail wind.

I was perplexed myself. We had that surprise 8-10" storm on Nov 22. Most models only had 2-4" but we overperformed due to stronger dynamic cooling. I've never seen the two hand in hand. cyclone77
Highlight of November was the 8 day stretch in a row with 70+ degrees. Picked up 2.65" of rain for the month and 0.5" of snow.

Perhaps the best one of the bunch was 2009-10. 54.2" at ORD and good stretches of snowcover.
