ORH_wxman
18z NAM looks more amplified through 21 hours vs 12z...we'll see if that translates to the 2nd part too.

ULL doesnt seem to be lagging quite as far behind. Definitely more amped but so far nothing huge.
dryslot
Going to be a better 18z Nam run from 12z early on, More amped, Trough a bit sharper too.

STILL N OF PIKE
That would be something if part 2 really is enhanced over S shore . Thats close to a pretty good thump down there.
ORH_wxman
Def a nice little backside CCB/Fronto snow band for SNE this run.

Ericjcrash
Definitely a step in the right direction. I eek out a couple/few inches. Another step at 0z and we might be cooking.
TauntonBlizzard2013
12k NAM would actually even drop a couple inches here

Thats close to a pretty good thump down there. I noticed that too. Odd how it had a colder profile aloft over the South Shore (maybe due to the stronger precip at the time?), but I still think the low levels are quite marginal. But if it's ripping at -7C at 850mb you'd think that's a flip to snow. 11AM Friday and the coldest H85 temps were basically south shore?
powderfreak
3km NAM had a nice parting shot for you SNE’ers. Dropped about a 1/4-1/3” frozen QPF on the way out... probably 1-3” pretty widespread.

ORH_wxman
All 18z runs thus far have trended better. Another tick and maybe a few spots could see low end advisory snows. As is, even just light measurable is impressive in October outside of NNE higher elevations.

crossbowftw3
Either way here in lower elevations of the Catskills I'm pretty much cooked. First meaningful snow should happen by the end of next month so I'm not as upset

MarkO
This is now looking like a pretty good event for the whites. There's no sneaky warm layer, and it's going to be cold down to about 1500'. I'm actually thinking there's going to be a foot in some elevated (2500k+) areas like the mid October storm. Reggie looks pretty decent, but the snow maps are late. Does anyone have the GFS maps? TT is late with the 18hr

Additionally he may be north of the heaviest qpf/rates Friday during the day. He’ll snow and stick. Scooter has never taken anyone in CT over Ray. He has had this odd affection for him ever since I’ve known them both. It’s a thick Boston accent thing I believe.
