HighTechEE
2.5" and counting IMBY, 10 miles SW of me in Springboro an official 4.5" recorded and that was an hour ago, so they are over 5" by now. 10 miles to my NW is the back edge is near downtown Dayton. Going to be on that fine line all night looks like!
chuckster2012
Close to 6" here IMBY and still snowing but not as heavy as it was. .
NoDoppler4TnySandz
The lack of wind with this system has made for a spectacular scene. Easily have 7" here on the SE side of Cincy. Year upon year of misses to the NW....finally nice to see an OVER Performer!

I like your pic of legendary Tony Sands! He was a snow nemesis. He seemed to hate snow!
Gino27
I somehow got over an inch out of this. Columbus prolly over 2. Some places are gonna end up with 10" what an over performer!
HighTechEE
Ended with 5" on the dot IMBY, one report in Cincy 10.5" on the SE side! ILN was seriously Nowcasting last night...
iluvsnow
Also in Bellbrook....1 mile west of EE I measured 5.5. Where was this in December? Wife and I shoveled out and now await what lies ahead.....
WestMichigan
My brother in Caldwell (SE Ohio) measured 9.5" this morning. Nice little surprise for them. WTOD normally kills most snow over there but this time the cold and suppression helped bring a nice snow to that part of the state.
NoDoppler4TnySandz
Ended up with 9.5" NAM seems to be really struggling with the next system compared to the globals...12z GFS just underway. Greed has taken over! Dare we stack up back to back 3+"--- perhaps a lottery ticket in store if we were to have such luck.
jaf316
Looks like about 2.5 inches here on the east side of cbus - - a little hard to tell what's new and what's from the last storm (which is kinda awesome!). Let's keep em coming...

Praying to the snow gods to give us a Christmas eve/day snow storm. As for Buckeye, I think he left the board due to the covid thread it seems. He posted a rant there and has never posted again. Hopefully he comes around. One of my favorite posters here.
NoDoppler4TnySandz
Re: Buckeye -- yeah, just combed through the board via the search tool and see that looks to be the case....it appears to be his choice. Explains why I didn't see it... (I lose interest in the Spring unless there are signs of a significant severe outbreak-- last year there were other distractions and to that point, I am only here for the weather). NoDoppler4TnySandz
Anyhow -- local tv mets here in town are as bullish on this early week system as I have ever seen (Hope it doesn't send the wagons west). 48+ hours out and on air quotes: "up to 10 inches" "at least 6 inches and those totals only go up if there is not mixing"
NoDoppler4TnySandz
Well the fantasy land of the NAM looks like fun --- pretty good consistency amongst these models I seem to recall the NAM always running a bit heavy on the QPF....
