Didn’t early December have a really warm spell as well that year? Or was that 1992?

Definitely warm in early December.  We had a snow event the first Saturday of the month and then mid month.   Around 12/23 we had an inland runner dump 2-3 inches of rain amd the pattern changed to fun with the first of the siggy snows 12/28.

was that what that was ... huh. -

I'm up here in Ayer and we had something wave thru.  Thing is, there was no train going by at the time..and it sort of woke me up.  My house jiggles when said trains go by, anyway The Nashoba valley sits in an ancient effluvial flood plain geography ..so I wonder if 4.2 may have been enough to be felt here some 90 mi away.  But I also had some stuff on the kitchen floor that started out on the counter top - folded brown/grocery bags and I was scratching my head trying to figure out how they were scattered about.

Interesting...

Gerbils ?

This is eerily similar to Morch 2012. Same exact kind of weather with 75/80 for many many days and no cold in sight.

Shorts and t-shirt weather at the picnic tables.  The 14” of snow is crying for Mamma... just a rotting few inches in the high shade.

This is pretty spectacular warmth.

60F up here and 72F at MVL.  Even the breeze is warm.

At least Anchorage is getting buried

This is nuts, but, theres has to be a break or snap back the other way when are experiencing something this extreme.  You guys are acting like we will never see Winter again. I can eerily remember last year at this time being the extreme opposite from now. And look what happened then. Just saying guys and gals. Anyone else have any optimism?

I do. I see nothing wrong with this weather. Especially up here - winter is loooooong and this time of the year, useless. I'd be perfectly fine if it stayed like this till Thanksgiving, then switch to winter.
