A bit, but it's not as impressive and it tracks farther south, but it tosses some light stuff back our way.
KC Storm
For those worried. The main wave is still over NM. Thats the one that will bring most the goods.
jojo762
HRRR is doing horrible this morning, I see... really off in Kansas at least, and does not do a particularly good job with the snow in W OK either. Other 12z CAMs (NSSL-WRF, WRF-ARW NMMB), and especially the 12z NAM are doing better. Even so, most CAMs besides the NAM are underestimating the breadth and intensity of a lot of the bands.
The Waterboy
I really wasn’t expecting much out of this first wave. The HRRR runs last night had these bands further west. So I’m considering this first part some bonus snow. Around an inch here so far but hard to tell for sure.

I'm quite surprised to see the HRRR doing this poorly. The RAP has also done pretty well with this system, too.
JoMo
The grass is almost covered, but it was already 3/4 covered by the last 2 days of flurries.

Gives me some confidence in its aggressive solution for the wrap-around band tomorrow.

I would say we have about an inch here. Hard to measure because it blows around everywhere. Streets are all covered.

Same, the past 3 days of misty freezing drizzle and off/on snows we already had things covered here. Hard to say what this first wave put down here as its windy, maybe 3/4 of an inch or so. Man it is cold though thats for sure
The Waterboy
Last few HRRR runs hinting at wrapping the storm. Still snowing at 6 am tomorrow.

StormChazer
I know this break in snow is to be expected. But seeing OKC getting hammered with me sitting and waiting is making me anxious XD

Ozarkwx
Surprised no one has mentioned the 12Z Euro Kuchera and 12 Z GFS Kuchera suggesting rather beefy totals for the week. Am I missing something?
The Waterboy
^ I suspect we’re all too focused waiting anxiously on round 2 today. But good to see those maps. Looks like storm 2 continues to track a bit more SE each run.
The Waterboy
Anyone have any live updates from the OKC area?
stormdragonwx
Strange, TSA has apparently gotten gun shy with this system and cut down on the totals a lot. Wonder what's up with that. It's seems like someone thought this mornings snow was the main event.

draco1188
NWS-LR just updated snow totals - I'm not mad at it. latest NAM run is giving me more hope for the Russellville area. Sitting at a good dusting right now.
NwWhiteOut
No words for this really, trying to be optimistic but this area here just struggles for anything.... hopefully some miracle happens tonight with the better stuff idk.
The Waterboy
Using the Kuchera maps the 18z RAP, HRRR, and NAM all continue to show 3-8” additional through tomorrow.

Solution Man
Good luck down south guys. Looking at a wave of snow making a run at the KC area from the southwest, will be interesting
lokee
The entire south side of Okc is without water. The water plant that serves this area went down the the City can not give a time when it would be back up.
