So many of our snowstorms here are over within like 12 hours. May never experience anything like this ever again though.

MoWeatherguy
Pretty rough for February standards for sure. I'm not a fan of these overpowering arctic fronts. We'll be lucky to get a big storm out of it.

jojo762
Not snow or ice-related... But holy cow the 12z GFS windchills are insane... Could have a prolonged period where we (in KC) 1. Do not get above a wind chill of zero, and 2. where we have wind chills in negative teens for 24+ hours, potentially at times below -20.

JoMo
Yeah, I think the main thing is the cold, and once it gets that cold, individual systems that are hard to time will come in from the NW and produce snow showers from time to time.
JoMo
12z GFS is a bit farther south with the snow on Saturday thanks to a bit deeper of a wave moving through. EDIT: Some pretty large changes being seen, mainly that things are more zonal and the big upper low over Canada is farther west. Looks like a large overrunning situation setting up on the 11th and 12th.

Odd for only 60 hours out. Not even the Canadian was similar. Let’s ride it for now and hope the Euro has it.
