MUWX
With temps so marginal, I’m not super concerned about Ice around here yet. Further north and west could be another story. I hope this doesn’t come back to bite me.
StormChazer
I'm gonna weenie post really quick and state something completely unfounded by science. The Canadian was the first to sniff this out, so I'm gonna ride it all the way. Now for the unfounded, weenie part. This just feels like a bad ice storm for Tulsa. Mr. Kevin
Jomo, hopefully yall see some ice sleet. I'm in jonesboro ar and Saturday night I was tripping when I saw the gfs showing 13inches snow. Fun while it lasted. Just still not enough cold air yet. Yeah, I was hoping we would all see some snow, but it looks like a lot of freezing rain for someone.
The Waterboy
00z Hrrr is interesting. Snow and ice west of OKC breaking out by H35. Thoughts from anyone?

Can’t take the long range HRRR too seriously, but it’s certainly worth watching! Because that’s some decently heavy precip!

FWIW Aaron Tuttle seems to think the Euro is too far west and will move east again. He also thinks there's good merit to what the HRRR was picking up on, on Wednesday. That ICON run was very similar to the 12z Canadian as far as the track. We’ll see what Canada has for us shortly.
MUWX
The GFS isn’t good, but it’s better than 12z imo. With that said, holding out hope that the icon and Canadian are right, probably isn’t the best forecasting technique.

jojo762
Anticipating some snow/sleet followed by a decent amount of freezing rain tomorrow morning into around noon in KC.. Some models want to hold onto freezing SFC temps into the mid afternoon, but i'm not so sure that'll come to fruition. Fairly excited about the potential for an impressive storm on Friday, but still too far out to be that excited just yet.

StormChazer
Also, the 6Z euro, did come in about a degree or so colder, fwiw. Inching the frozen precip maybe 15 miles.
rockchalk83
06z ECMWF, 06z ICON and 12z NAM have shifted west with the storm. Would like to have it be 2-4 degrees colder because if not, someone is going to get a helluva ice storm. Nice stripe of snow on the backside, too. Some places in southwest Kansas have had 30 inches of snow already this year. Wichita has had about 2 inches.
rockchalk83
12z RDPS continues the theme of an ice storm from central OK through Missouri. Quarter to two-thirds of an inch of ice possible if that run verifies.
