YEah pretty much every ASOS between ALB and BOS reported >50 knots. 

ALB, PSF, BAF, CEF, ORH, BOS...and even that pit in OWD gusted to 50 knots. 

This was legit.

FIT and MQE too.  Only ORE and BED missed, and not by much.   

Even on the south shore it's continuing, PYM just posted 52kts.

I always forget but I am not sure if the distance requirement is the same for the classification of each type (serial, progressive, and hybrid). I think the criteria may be a bit more loose for serial derechos.

Look at how green all the foliage is there. Looks like NYC. Shows how much the drought affected the foliage this year. We are at peak here this weekend with many bare trees . Way way early . ALB had storms all summer
