A true snow weenie could get 500% climo snow one winter then be bitching up a storm by early December if it's a slow start the following season. KokomoWX
This (from IND) Quote After this system exits to the northeast, another deeper trough approaches and moves through the area on Wednesday night/Thursday. Early indications are this system looks a little stronger than the Monday/Tuesday system and has better potential for a Gulf moisture hookup, but this winter systems seem to look much more impressive further out in time and weaken with subsequent model runs, so will keep that in mind. michsnowfreak
This is horrifying. I do not understand why people that live in an area that rarely sees any Winter weather think its ok to drive posted speeds.

We're under a Winter Storm Watch for 3-7" plus near-blizzard conditions Sunday night/Monday, and then it's looking increasingly likely that we'll see several more inches of snow on Wednesday. Who would have thought Dallas (of all places) would see snow on top of snow, lol.

That said it'll be an incredible week. Dallas has not even seen a 1" snowfall in 6 years and they will have a few day stretch of legit northern winter conditions. Could even make a case for it ending up a bit colder, especially if the midnight high isn't a problem. Btw, even though it's out of region, feel free to post in our Feb 14-16 storm thread.

It's pretty close. So far for winter Dallas is only running 18.4° warmer than Detroit, 31 days less 1"+ snowcover, and 26.1" less snow. Both places have a cold snowy week ahead. So once we get into the beginning of the next Winter season I am sure we will have a whole bunch of new cold season biases to get used to, whatever they may be. Kitchener poster
Crazy that this 3+ inch snowstorm drought is happening. We were on such a roll in November and December. Now at 47 days without a 3 inch storm. The Sunday system is gone and the Tuesday system is way east. We are likely going to hit 50+ days.
