Brian D
Significant snows running a little early this year. Records show for Duluth that, although snow is common, this amount is usually observed during the last week of the month.

Hoosier
Had a nice looking rainbow a little while ago. Couldn't get a good shot of it because I was driving and there were some obstructions.

Malacka11
Is fire chasing a viable thing to do? I'm thinking about doing it. Where can one view an active list of ongoing wildfires?

Personally, I’m only interested in watching wildfires if they are natural occurrences (lightning strikes). I have no interest in seeing a wildfire caused by Ed tossing his cigarette butt out his car window or Karen starting a wildfire during a gender reveal party. It just dawned on me that the Red Flag Warning is basically a "don't set shit on fire" warning. Good point.

Brian D
Snowing this a.m. with about 1/2" on the ground. Melting now and turning over to rain. 3-6" possible on the ridges where it tends to be colder than right near the lake where I am.

Chicago Storm
Filtered sun now and almost an immediate corresponding increase in winds.Yea, it has been interesting to watch the fluctuations. Winds increased earlier this morning, with gusts to 29KT. Then ceilings lowered and a few showers moved in, and winds died with only 10-15KT gusts. Since then with more sun, it’s not gusting to 39KT with some BLDU..

I think the term wildfire should be used only in the case of naturally occurring fires in nature. Idiot humans who accidentally or intentionally set fires in nature need a new, more appropriate term.
