dendrite
2 stratus gauges at different heights about 15 ft apart. 6ft up...1.80” A little off the ground...1.89” So there was definitely some wind turbulence knocking down my totals from the upper gauge. That explains why the tipper was running higher since I originally had it calibrated with the other one that was lower. That’s why they tell you to install the gauges lower and with wind screens.

Typhoon Tip
it's almost like a spring event in a way ... I'm 56 in full sun and d-slope "mild" air, and said air is the same which serviced that snow along the roof-tops up there... There is no one living in Randolph higher than about 1750', as far as I know. Seems high for real. Perhaps on SW edge bordering Jefferson. You notice 2 miles ese Jefferson was in there for 7.1 as well and we know Santa Village in Jefferson got hit hard. So probably somewhere that does poorly on Eastern flow (and good on NW flow) on SW side/edge of Randolph.
