TheBudMan
I thought a certain 5 AM IPA guzzling runner was saying 'dry begats dry' thankfully I listened to Scooter and reseeded my lawn

The water year at our site ended within an inch or two of average, and we just passed 40” on calendar year water with this system, which is again probably within a couple inches of average. It looks like the Randolph site near you is 41”+ of liquid on the calendar year, so they’re probably roughly on track as well. Maybe there’s some sort of mid-term measurement that could be low, but it sure is getting stomped by these systems that are starting to come through now. The drought monitor product is a blend of Palmer Drought Severity Index, CPC soil moisture, streamflow, and precip over both short and long term periods. So probably a bit of a mixed signal in there up north, but yeah mostly academic.

This weekend hiking was by far the wettest and muddiest of the entire warm season, IMO.

Radar filled in nicely A lot of this is low level so it looks more impressive as it approaches the radar. Small droplet sheet drizzle and rain here despite barely any echoes.
