Back in the summer, my brother in laws fiancé was diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer at age 37 and her markers were such she wasn't a candidate for any of the immunotherapies. Before beginning chemo, they found out about a new clinical trial at Vanderbilt. She was the first or second person in the country to be in it. Her results were fantastic and the tumor was largely eradicated. She has since had double mastectomy surgery and is on her way to recovery. I pray your wife has similarly excellent results. Let us know if we can do anything for you guys....................

I lost my dad and my wife lost her mom within one month earlier in the year. Been dealing with a broken toe and possible meniscus tear for the past couple of months too. I'm doing ok though. Saw some snow on the GFS in British Columbia and was already thinking about one of those zoom in gifs, lol. Worst of the storms passed us by this week! I have some good summer pics I will post soon. Hope all is well with y'all ! Just seeing this from back in the summer. I don't get in here much during the summer season (unless there's a severe threat). So sorry to hear about your losses. I hope your toe and knee are doing better!
nrgjeff
Good morning everyone. @PowellVolz I know cancer is scary and never routine. Sounds like they caught it early which is good. Thinking of you guys and praying for successful treatment. No praying emoji? Seriously AmWx! In lighter news Tennessee and Kansas play at 2:30 Eastern today. That's pretty early out in Hawaii. Guess they can be friends and go to the beach later! I was hoping to meet in the Maui Final, not 3rd place game. Should still be fun. If KU plays as soft as we did vs MQT then UT should win. Tennesse put up a better fight but that Purdue big is impossible. 1
John1122
The Purdue big is especially impossible when they refuse to call 3 seconds on him. He was staying in the lane for 7 or 8 seconds. Not to mention tossing Tennessee players around like ragdolls with no calls.

Officiating last night was egregious.

John1122
It's been around 40 with rain showers here this afternoon and evening. This would have been a snow shower kind of day a month from now.

No bugs, better sleep, cozy nights. Something about winter is just relaxing to me. Cold air, hot drinks. Or stiff drinks

Holston_River_Rambler
Hopefully we can get some clearing late tonight in western areas. I’m in Boone strangely enough and the sun just came out for a hot minute. I was looking forward to trying the iPhone long exposure again but I’m not too hopeful up here this evening.
nrgjeff
GFS and ECMWF both have severe Sunday Dec. 10. Normally that'd fall apart. However it's family nut-buster, um I mean Nutcraker weekend; so of course, I'll miss visible tornadoes in the South. I should have a better attitude after the big KU win over UConn. However it's LOW overcast day 2 in a row and I'm salty.

John1122
Northern England is getting blitzed with heavy snow. They average around an inch a year in places that look to be getting 6-10. Maybe someday our unusually heavy snows will return. Those snow departure maps that were put out the other day were depressing, as our area had the biggest snowfall loss of any area. Ironically, areas along the gulf and deep south were actually getting more snow than they did in the 1960s-1980s.
