Nice!  Heard it was nuts down there, sure looks like it.

I tried making it onto the Hurricane Deck earlier down by the coast guard station but that was not happening.  If you know the area and look closely you will notice one thing missing... The Outer Harbor Break Wall is under water.  Looked like smoke rising with the waves crashing 20+ feet over it.

Just got back from the Dunnville region. Haven't seen waves or surge that high in 7 years of living/visiting in the Lake Erie region.

I witnessed the halloween storm but this was the first time I felt like it was actual chasing. Started outside of Dunnville and made my way to the inlaws. Had my Kestrel and registered a few gusts at 109km but not close to what Port Colborne or St.Catherines saw. Waves built steadily and just after sunset the lake overtook the 6 foot break wall (sunk and damaged from previous storms its getting fixed soon) Id estimate the wave height was about 10-15 feet. Looking directly out we can see the towns of Angola-Dunkirk. Just non stop spray from the top of the waves out in the middle of the lake facing that direction right before night fell.

Nothing to do with this current topic but can you guys Haldimand-Norfolk and Port Colborne from the south towns? You guys have the quick elevation gain away from Lake Erie on that side while we are just flat farmlands like the Midwest on this side.

Anyone notice that 160+mph hurricane (Iota) about to hit the same location in Nicaragua as cat 4 Eta 2 weeks prior? Pray for those people...dang.

Yeah that country is going to take years to repair. They said the standard occurrence for a cat 4 to hit that country is once every 37 years. They're getting 2 of them in 2 weeks...

After tomorrow the threat of snow is not there at all for rest of November. Looking at 1-5 degrees above average everyday. Hoping Dec. gets better.

Be patient, this is what we want...something different than the last couple of years in Nov! The PNA, NAO, AO, and EPO are all exactly opposite of what we need for cold and snow, but they are all forecasting to trend opposite towards the end of Nov into Dec. This would be a good thing...especially if we can finally get the NAO negative for the winter months.

Also, keep an eye out for an SSW event - nothing in the forecast now, but maybe sometime in the winter months.

We got so many jobs in Hoover Beach today it’s insane. Whole basements full to the rafters with 2 to 3 feet inside the entire first floors of these homes. Gonna be total guts with how much mud and silt there is in all the water. Could barely manuver the streets down there to get to where we had to go because there was so much mud and debris in the roads.

The weeklies show all of December being a torch too. They show a +EPO, +NAO and SE Ridge through the end of December. Getting a 2011-2012 vibe
