Really hope we don't have to fight the SE ridge all year again. Is that a permanent structure in our environment now? Every winter we get it.

Didn't you just give me a hard time a bit ago about winter being some 50 days away?

I just have to strongly remember to keep expectations loooooooooooooow for this winter. Stinks...but I'd rather be pleasantly surprised.

This must be a new webcam. Live from Jamestown. It's not the best quality, but nice for those of us waiting for the first snowfall. The ground looks white there.

The sidebar on this site has another four webcams from a few miles west of Jamestown. They're not great at night, but it looks like the grass is covered.

Windier now than during the bills game. I can’t believe some of the gust, rattling the whole house. Must be close to 50mph gust. If we can catch a couple squalls it’ll look gnarly out for a few minutes lol.

If this November end up above average then we are due for below average in March, April and May again next year. Let's hope it happens!

Above avg November usually means a hot summer 2 years later.  Well documented in the literature.

Yes, but the SE ridge has been there for 3 winters in varying intensities. It should not be a permanent fixture of our winters.

If were going to have warmth im okay with it in early November. The averages for the first half of November are still in the 40s/50s here so even -5/-10F below normal barely gets us to wet slop while the + departures gets us great early October weather.
