Today's temps never made it out of the 40's in the Western burbs of Philly....while down the shore in Sea Isle City mid 50's with 0.16" of rain w/ East Nantmeal in Chesco w/ 0.13" so far. Seasonably cool week on the way with rain on Thursday and near freezing temps by Saturday AM

For shit's and giggles I dug through every time in snowed at PHL in October since 1884 and the corresponding winter totals. Outside of the 2 duds(72-73 and 11-12), it's actually fairly encouraging albeit a very small sample size.

So it has snowed(T or more) 15 times in October at PHL since 1884.

Most snowfall in a following winter was 41.8" in 1957-1958

Least was Trace(0) in 1972-1973.

Median of those 15 years was 20.9", right around average.

Mean of those 15 years was 22.3", a little above average.

Hell, I'll take that....sign me up.

I haven't seen a snow covered road in 18+ months. What little snow we received last year melted on contact...

Glad I raked the leaves/mowed yesterday afternoon w/the partly sunny brief period. Today has been been a gloomy/misty mess before Zeta rains approach...

55F / DP 55 ....and little foggy.

* BTW: Zeta is a pretty cool tropical name. Nothing will beat Floyd since I'm a Pink Floyd fan and even TS Floyd nailed my area pretty good but Zeta is up there as far as names...

1.07" at home in Hopewell so far. Round 1 looks like it'll be out of here before 6 or so.

It's already out of here in Lanco and looks to be clearing up in Berks. Much earlier than I expected but this thing is hauling no doubt.
