I love it. Deep snowpack is great, but not likely round here. I/we can get clipped/jipped frequently and am totally cool w/ those NW flow patterns as when right, we are talking about events every few days....and as we know we can get lucky once in a while and have a decent event thrown in. Just talking bout it makes me giddy.

Voyager
Surprised somewhat by the amount of rain today here. Between the morning session and the line of storms this evening, we tipped the bucket at 1.19" for the calendar day.

Itstrainingtime
SPC maintains a slight risk for the LSV today with an enhanced risk tickling the southern border. Looks like an active afternoon and evening for a lot of us.

Yup sure do, Denver may have their first snow of the season with that trough dumping into the Rockies. The Euro has been showing that as well. How's this for insane...look at the Euro ensemble output for KDEN. Literally supposed to be 90-100 for a high for a few days right up to the day before it maybe snowing there. 1

If I understand correctly, one area to watch for the development of rotating storms is in the vicinity of where winds are veering from different directions. That seems to be set up right over the southern tier right now.

I'm at 82 so a decent amount warmer than Cashtown and those to my north. I'm definitely keeping an eye on this - fully recognizing that the threat is far less as you go north of the 'pike.
