Been watching the satellite animation and it is making progress my way. Just took my Greyhound for a mid day walk, very breezy and cooler. I pulled the feeder down a week ago because I assumed they had all migrated south... lo and behold today they are out in force in the garden hitting up the mexican sunflowers I have growing. Glad I had something for them!

Eskimo Joe
Watering the deck and was surprised to see no less than half a dozen monarchs. This front must be scooping up a bunch of straggling seasonal birds and insects and escorting them south.

EastCoast NPZ
35F. Patches of frost. Amazing. Smoke layer is gone, last night had an exceptionally clear sky and bright starfield. Was a perfect night for the inaugural fire on my new patio fire pit with my kids.
