Looks like it, I wonder if October will follow the same pattern. I'm seeing signs of a east based block over southern Greenland. The northern stream is already getting going pretty good and it's only September, it seems. Wonder if we get tons of clippers this winter. We can score a B+ winter with enough clippers and plenty of cold. Tons of polar high pressures coming out of Canada in the near term, too

PrinceFrederickWx
Forecast was for sunny but instead it’s been cloudy all day and now I’m getting an isolated shower that’s not even on radar. This year...

George BM
Today will feature a slightly smoky sky following this mornings clouds from the Western US wildfires. Now we won't see Star Wars-level orange skies though... just skies similar to some of the smoky skies we experienced in July of 2014.

JakkelWx
Bone dry conditions through late September it seems on the GEFS, other than maybe a couple tenths as the remnants of Sally move through
ErinInTheSky
Will this smoke be part of keeping things cooler? Will it last into the winter, if the fires keep going for a month or so? They've already been going that long.

CAPE
Cool HP building southward from NY state will make today feel very fall like. Too bad we will still have particulate matter in the upper levels from the smoke. We will again see milky/hazy skies instead of what would be brilliant blue. CAPE
There is a bit of a trend over the last couple model cycles to bring the remnants of Sally further north. Might see some showers later this week for eastern areas ahead of the next cold front. And ofc the 6z 12km NAM now pummels the eastern third of the region lol.
