weatherlover
Hoping that band makes it to Cleveland County. It will probably fall apart as it comes south

Buckethead
It's been hammering here since 5 but I don't have a clue about accumulation. The wind is blowing it everywhere. Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk

Local Yokel Wx
Half inch just outside of Waynesville (8pm). This on top of the dusting this morning that melted. Was thinking an inch or two was possible but now I'm just hoping for an inch.
SnoJoe
It's really picked up here as well. The windiest it's been all day. This fluffy stuff will make for some awesome drifts over night.
Sw NC weather
Around an 1/2” here. Rates have gotten better but flake size is still small.
Blue_Ridge_Escarpment
22 degrees with a stiff 45 mph gust is dang cold. I don’t want to think if the models verify for this weekend.
snowbird1230
Precip will begin to blossom in next hour..the connection from the Great Lakes is just now coming into Tennessee
WxKnurd
Dandruff still flying here, been doing it about 3 hours now and only managed another 1/4” or so as it looks to be 1/2” or a little more on the deck (this mornings never melted up here as opposed to down in town)

I have about an .75 to 1 inch on exposed surfaces but now even the asphalt is turning white.. For the first time some 30 to 35 dbz on radar at times . Nice to have some snow with temps subfreezing for a change.
weatherlover
What’s going on under those returns in Morganton and Lenoir? It’s been sitting over them and back building for an hour or more

Blue_Ridge_Escarpment
Goodness. Just had a 30 minute snow squall roll through here. Started while I was out with the dog, nearly whiteout conditions. 21 degrees.
Met1985
Still hammering away here in Canton. Everything is white.

Just so much wind here
calculus1
Nothing coming down in NW Catawba here in Hickory, despite the radar returns indicating otherwise. The direction of this flow is different than normal, though, which may explain the returns that are breaking containment. It's almost due north, just a few degrees west of that.Sent from my moto e5 supra using Tapatalk

Not promising for me in Cleveland county

Not promising for me in Cleveland county With this much wind there is an insane amount of downsloping. I can count on one hand the times I have had even a dusting from NW flow

Sw NC weather
Up to an inch now with snow coming down hard! According to radar we should have snow about all night.
snowbird1230
So far this is not the flow that was advertised in Graham County..19 hours of snow has yielded 1/2" at 3000' 1
SnoJoe
I had my doubts but we have the best rates of the day, although horizontal. This is starting to take a turn to a nice flow event if it keeps it up. Might pour me another or two and stay up awhile.
