WxKnurd
Everyone says it’s packed but I’m not seeing it outside of the usual high traffic areas being even more high traffic i.e. Black Balsam. But I also tend to gravitate to non-trailhead areas as well as Nantahala areas instead of Pisgah.
Met1985
Well as we all know with these low pressure systems sliding south of us we are always in the drivers seat. Im going to dive in more tomorrow after another round of runs but I am optimistic about the end of the week storm at least.
Met1985
Also lets not overlook the small event tomorrow. It looks to be trending a bit more moist currently. Sure it won't be much but it will bring back a wintery appeal to many I think in the upslope regions.

It looks to be good for an inch or two for the high border areas. Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk

It sucks honestly My grandpa had property up on the McDowell Mitchell line that he had on the market for years and no bites as the terrain is a bit steep getting to it. When the riots increased, it was a bidding war on that property. Everyone bidding was from major metro areas.

Buckethead
I would not be surprised to see an advisory sent out for late tonight into tomorrow. KMRX issued a statement for the North side of my mountain (¼ mile from me) calling from 2-4" above 4kft and up to 6" closer to 5kft through tomorrow night. Sounds good to me. And we still haven't seen a Christmas bump yet...

Met1985
I find it comical how media outlets away from the mountains are latching onto this potential snow outside of WNC so much currently. I mean don't get me wrong I hope they all get hammered but it rarely happens that way.

Hvward
I am looking at a lot of paste bomb soundings right now for Thursday night and early Friday morning. Wonderful dynamics for heavy, wet snowfall. Model totals kept increasing today. EPS and GEFS means up around 6” for KAVL.

This is why I said I would wait until Tuesday to really look at things. I've been down this road several times but the trends with the global models have not been great. Highlands to Hendersonville should do well.
McDowell_Weather
Howdy howdy fellas looking good for a paste bomb classic some of yall may do better with NWF events but this one has legs for the valleys and foothills plus the monday system.....I've only waited a decade for another pattern like this to even track materialize or not.
