WxKnurd
Flurries/light snow but it’s pounding across 74 it looks like, can’t see the mountain anymore. Hoping the flow sets up where I can pick up an inch or so overnight.

Buckethead
Diamond dust and the moonlit snow covered mountains...just all kinds of awesome outside right now. But man is it cold! I think 11" is where I'm stopping for this event which puts me at 28.5" since 12/1. Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk

It was 28 in Marion and 16 in Grassy Creek. Just got back in from being down in Marion with family. Roads were fine until you get to wal mart in spruce pine then it was solid sheet of ice and snow all the way home. 226 and my secondary road. I might or might not had taken elevation and snow chances in to consideration when picking out a house with the wife. Couldn’t talk her into 5000’ near the state line though lol.

BooneWX
Got a tempest weather station yesterday as a gift and couldn’t stand the thought of waiting until today to get it operational. Glad I did! I’ve always thought our neighborhood was a much cooler spot and I was able to confirm it. We bottomed out at 13.6 degrees while the closest other station dipped only to 17. On a side note, if any of you have a good or bad experience with station siting, let me know. I’ll never get a totally clean wind fetch at my location so I think I’m going to aim for 4-5 above ground with either PVC or a steel pipe. Thought about a roof mount but like the ground accessibility better.

eyewall
I didn't take a lot of shots as I was busy just enjoying it but here are a few (also some of the best shots out there were hard to get without getting the car stuck). WxKnurd
We were single digits, I think down close to 5 at some point. Dusting of diamond dust was all we got after we got home.

Hvward
Interesting trends on the GFS with the ULL capturing the LP as it transfers from the Gulf to the Atlantic. The 12z just spit out a couple of hours of snow showers for Sunday. Something to watch... especially for the higher elevations.
