Don't know if the Os will keep winning but they have plenty of fight in them. Short season.. expanded playoffs. Never know. On the other end of the spectrum, the Red Sox have buried themselves. Rhino16
In your opinion, which year had the weirdest tropical storm tracks? My pick has to be 2004, because so many of them took weird turns and did loops and weird things like that.

Loved the grit and the comeback against Mac today but they couldn't pull it off. Shame to play so well on the road and then come home and promptly drop a series. My takeaway? They're a fun team to watch and easy to root for.

The ownership is clearly awful, but that does not have an impact on how hard this group tries on the field. I am a realist. Sure "anything" is possible in a significantly shortened season plus expanded playoffs, but if they can finish .500 it would be an accomplishment, and far better than most experts thought was possible(and clearly better than the 14-46 record I predicted lol).

With only 60 games a hot streak could carry a team in. And no I'm not saying that team is the O's. I stand by My 14 - 46 guess lol Looks like im going to be wrong with my prediction for the O's. Glad to be wrong. Love the way they've played so far. They definitely don't seem intimidated by anyone. Even though they lost they really took it to Scherezer today.

Im hopeful that the Angelos son's don't handcuff the GM the way Peter did. With Elias coming in last year I think we are seeing a difference in the way things are run. Putting alot of money and resources into international scouting. Using analytics like the other 29 mlb teams. I think we may already be seeing a difference in pitching from the analytics side. The Orioles can spend money on free agents but they have to have a nice blend of both home grown and free agent signing. With a medium market budget you've got to be good at doing both. I do think holding onto CD is stunting the growth of the current roster of young players. At this point wether he is on your team or you cut him he's not helping the team either way. You want to give as much playing time as possible to the young prospects to find out who will be on the next "good" Orioles team. We are already seeing what playing time is doing for Ruiz and Santander. Ryan Mountcastle should be getting the opportunity to DH/1b. He has hit well at every level. Would love to see what he could do at the MLB level.

So much fun to watch that OT goal... Caps are done. They had that one great season where they won it all in 2018... but they go nowhere in the playoffs basically in other years. And yes... I know the Penguins didn't even make the playoffs this year... and the Islanders swept the Penguins last postseason. But at least we have 3 Cups with Crosby and the such

Rhino16
If we get any tropical storm effects in the coming weeks after all the rain, central Virginia isn’t going to have fun. A squirrel sneeze, (or seal? One might have been seen in the James River the other day...) will be enough to send any tree onto its side.
