Hopefully that breaks the back of summer for good.

Euro has the entire region, even approaching RIC, in the 50s at D10. GGEM more of a back door cold front. Gfs with the old school big Canadian high moving in from the Midwest.

Having a family meetup near Luray that weekend. That would be awesome weather for some mountain hikes.
WxUSAF
We deserve a really nice fall after the last 2 years. Maybe we’ll get lucky on that and have real fall weather start early even. Certainly would be nice for some hiking and outdoor activities.
nw baltimore wx
It’s nice seeing the 540 line showing up down the road on the gfs and even some digital snow in Canada.

As far as any rain looks pretty dry up this way the next 7 days again. Interesting that we do have these intervals where we do go dry for 5 to 8 days and then the moisture returns with a vengeance. This has been repeating for a few months I believe. Maybe we will get into some tropical moisture sliding by to our South in time beyond day 7, or more likely the possibility of some significant convection with the arrival of the cooler air mass the end of next week. Kmlwx
Definitely hints of fall mornings in the air the past few days. Can't wait for these to become more regular. I'm pretty done with heat and humidity at this point unless it's going to pop off some good storms...

dailylurker
Crickets in here lately. It does look like a pretty boring stretch of weather coming up. Showers around this morning haven't amounted to much. 72 with sprinkles.

WxUSAF
This week could be interesting. Definitely some heat and humidity around. But Back door cold front around Wednesday and Thursday. Then hopefully a fall-like front rolling through Friday or Saturday.

Wonder if September continues the theme of recent late summers with the expanded WAR or if we get a break this year. Silly CFS, but why buck the recent trends. Early September you think looks be be normal based on these indicies then maybe warmer after Sept 10th .
