It will be meh heat from here on out.

Dews are dews though. Doesn't have to be 95 for the lid to be stuck to cheeks. But to your argument, fropas will be happening too. Just expect the word "kohler" to be a semi-permanent tattoo on your bum from time to time.

The extended period of days and days of 90's are done up here anyways, Sure there will be some warm days heading into Sept, Had to wear the jacket out this morning when i got coffee at 6:00 am.

Thankfully stayed right at 60. No 50’s since early Or possibly mid June I believe FTW

Wow, STEM was 55F, ORH was 56F yesterday and 58F today.

No wonder you have such bad pack retention with torching nights compared to literally everyone else.

Never got below 50 here from 6/19 thru 8/6, a full 7 weeks and the 1st July not to have morning 46 or cooler.  I doubt we'll see a run of 10 days with minima 50+ until next summer.

Also, the drought is dead, yesterday's 0.01" killed it - 1st measurable since 8/5. :P

EURO seems to have backed off more

Op was a good fropa Monday, I went with the EPS.  Next week could get real hot for a couple of days before we cool off nicely. We'll see if the heat backs off as we are on the nrn periphery of the heat dome.

The best is when the valley is wedged and snow covered and the hill tops are greening up.

70F straight till Nov 1st, then highs of 32F and snowmaking afterwards.

As delightful as that sounds, it would be sad to miss out on those beautiful October days with white in the alpine fading to snow-covered foliage below, and those October ski days with their unique, ephemeral vibe.  It’s tough to get those experiences without at least some below average temperatures and systems coming through.

So how is that right at 60?

All I could think of was in winter on a night when everyone is in the 20s, ORH sneaks to 28F, STEM is 25F, etc that hilltop would stay 30+ all night?

We/I definitely take the obs too literally, but I enjoy the nuances of New England climate.
