Yep I posted about it, at the train tracks. We ultra dry

I was there in 2012, same place; there was  logging being done and they left a big pile to burn! Was no fun then can’t image with the heat today.

There has been just one shark attack documented in Maine since 1837, according to the International Shark Attack File maintained by the Florida Museum of Natural History and the University of Florida.

We have so many threads going on, I had posted this in one of the other threads, 2010 was the last one in Perry Maine, Second one, But this is the first fatal

High of 90F today, I believe that’s the 11th of the year.  12 is the record for the ASOS if I remember from a conversation earlier this summer.

0.53” rainfall today too.  We’ve been getting decent soakings every few days now for a while.  July has been decently wet with almost 5” of rain.

73/71

PWM 86.

Thanks to a rain shower they fell to a low of 78° after 12z. That’s their warmest low since 1911 and 2nd warmest ever.

Because we only do records since 1941 for PWM (due to siting) 78 will be the all time record warm low*.

Gross morning.  74/68.

LOL at people attributing a shark attack to global warming.

With Maine's colder water, there are both fewer sharks and fewer swimmers. A winning recipe for few enoucnters.  While rare, I did see that they had caught an 18' white back in '96.   Harpswell is close to Pit2, only an 18 mile drive.  Probably half that as the crow flys.
