cyclone77
Looks like potentially 3 days (Fri-Sun) AOA 90 here. Low 90s Fri/Sat, and maybe mid 90s on Sunday for what could be the hottest temp of the year so far at MLI if they can break 94. Then back to 80s Mon and beyond. Not going to get that 5 day 94-98 degree run I was hoping for this summer it appears. 4th of July weekend might be our peak length heat run. Chicago Storm
Still not any different than before.Sat/Sun are easily 90+, and Fri/Mon are still wildcard days.. 1
CheeselandSkies
Getting a little tired of these heat "ripples" always coming on weekends. My fiancee and I were hoping to drive to Kenosha this weekend to do a socially distant/outdoors visit with her mother. Not thrilled with the idea of doing that in 90 degrees. Conditions like yesterday or today would have been perfect, but we all have to work.
hawkeye_wx
Another heat wave that looked significant when 7+ days away, but turns into two days when Cedar Rapids might hit 90º.
RyanDe680
Looks good for Friday and Saturday. If the rain takes hold later on Monday in another wave, have a shot at day 3....

cyclone77
What was looking like a slam dunk 90+ day was a fail at MLI, as they were 89'd under thicker clouds than expected lol. Hit 91 here, with a peak HI of 105. Dews have made it to between 76-79 for the majority of the DVN cwa, which is a few degrees higher than what the 3km NAM had been forecasting. It's been indicating even higher dews for tomorrow on the past several runs, so it looks like tomorrow we may be in for 79-82 degree dews.

Spartman
Heat wave cancel. 89'd everywhere today. Only expecting 1 or 2 chances of hitting 90 over the next few days. After that, no more in the foreseeable future. 1
