michaelmantis
Missed this action to the north by about 40 miles. Saw some videos/audio with the constant thunder. Great storms for those who got them but much of that area in central IL didn't need more rain.

I think this type of ob would've been a bit more widespread had the earlier elevated convection not tempered low-level lapse rates/instability. Kitchener poster
Big line came through around noon. Tornado warned. Very quick. Forecast had a 2nd line that never showed up. Picked up 0.28” imby. We haven’t had a rain or storm event that has given us >0.75” since May 18. Two entire summer months.

RogueWaves
Surprisingly stormy and rainy day here after beginning the day with only a 40% T-storm call from my office. They scrambled to play catch-up and went 70% after things had already got going (that's my office). Nice post-storms cool down is welcomed too ofc. Last summer this town was in a mini-drought about a 5 mile diameter zone that was missed in every direction. This summer the cards have flipped and we score regular rain. Not a brown blade to be found.
Powerball
Not too shabby of an event. It was definitely a failure to not issue a Severe Thunderstorm Watch for DTX's CWA though.

Not a brown blade to be found. Yeah, the forecast yesterday was a huge bust, but in a good way for once. It was only a 30% chance of storms here with a high of 95*F and mostly sunny, lol. We made it up into the mid-80s before falling back into the low/mid 70s for the remainder of the day with overcast skies once the storms settled in. It actually felt a touch nippy at times.
