Trying to figure out if it's going to go up the Hudson Valley, CT River Valley or will it head to BOS/PWM and ME coast. No, if it was winter, the only solutions would be 0TS or up the HRV.

Torch Tiger
Heavy rain with light breezes, not the storm we hoped for. Hopefully it stays very weak and way west, and doesnt mess up our SSTs when the real threats arrive.

STILL N OF PIKE
given the dry air and modest SW shear and tiny size it’s closed eye wall will have some trouble to deal with Its eyeball has improved as Rev posted but it’s satellite presentation shows elongation N-S and it’s probably up in the air if this eye wall can maintain itself ..on its Florida approach This could be a weak TS to a solid Hurricane - tiny storms obviously can surprise

Has that funny secondary lobe of convection like Matthew did a few years back. Not classic by any means, but a good warm up exercise as we get into the meat of the season.

40/70 Benchmark
First Call in relation to Hurricane Isaias. Final will be tomorrow night. Looks to brush the Florida coast between West Palm Beach and Melbourne as a minimal hurricane early Sunday, before veering north and perhaps even weakening to a tropical storm. However it should enter a period of intensification on Monday and perhaps strike near Cape Fear, NC approaching the threshold of a category 1/2 hurricane. Threat here in New England is primarily heavy rains, which is not really much of a threat since the region is enduring modest drought conditions. https://easternmassweather.blogspot.com/2020/08/hurricane-isaias-threatens-fl-and.html
