There has been summers where it just seems to become mostly cloudy almost every aftn. The terrain certainly helps with that. On the other hand, it keeps the vegetation pretty lush. So many days at the beach under clear skies looking at CU inland on HHH days.

Temp around 80F, dews in the 40s and not a cloud to be found. A nice 40-degree diurnal swing too.

Oh joy Hey Paul--you can watch Twister on Netflix. That's the way to get severe in NE. What a great day. HIPPYVALLEY
I think the deep interior is going to bake for a week starting tomorrow. I wanted to replace one of our air conditioners so I went to Home Depot looked around and they didn’t really have many. I asked one of the guys on the floor if they had sold a lot of air conditioners this year and he said no. I asked him where the air conditioners were and he said they just don’t have many. That’s a good policy heading into summer.

moneypitmike
I just came across this picture from the Shelburne Pit....not sure what year. But it's a shitload of snow. Pictures like this will make the mild-up be more than bearable. Especially since it coincides with the lowering of the sun angle.
powderfreak
What an evening. I love that temperatures keep rising until 6pm with this incredibly long daylight. 4-5pm feels like the middle of the day. Bluebird all day long.

powderfreak
The NWS forecast reflects the heat for sure... lowest high temp in the next 7 days is 82F at Day 7. These are the point and click highs for 750ft elevation here over the next week: 84/87/89/89/89/86/82. That's a hot week up here, no doubt.
