Tupelo area in danger if this keeps up.

TDS is back on that storm as it approaches Tupelo. It might pass to their west but looking at Google Maps I'm not sure that's much better.

It seems like this is a frustrating situation for the dryline tomorrow

Quote

Farther south into western OK and west/northwest TX, convective
initiation along the dryline appears much more conditional and
uncertain. Somewhat greater, but still modest, mid-level height
falls and related ascent associated with the approaching upper
trough will likely remain focused in KS. Still, if any storm can
form along/east of the dryline, it would likely become severe given
the presence of 1000-2500 J/kg of MLCAPE and sufficient deep-layer
shear. Large hail and severe wind gusts would be the main threats.
At this point, there is too much uncertainty regarding storm
coverage along the dryline to include any more than a Marginal Risk.

And then moisture gets shunted south and we wait another week or more  :sleepy:

Definitely seems to be the trend. Models look great then it fizzles out and appears a week later. The eastern troughing is a killer this season and now this cf wiping out moisture. Tomorrow would probably be a good tornado day otherwise. At least getting into mid to late May we are more likely to have better moisture. Pattern seems to really try to break down after mid May. Hoping it can pull a 2013 and get real active in a hurry last few weeks of May or at least a week. I have a break from school May 14-June 1 so would love to get a chase or two in before I go back.
