No snow in downtown Bristol which is just 10 miles north of you. Elevation made all the difference. I bet even on your road there is much more snow at the top of your road than along the river

But there was a coating to a 1/2" from Tilton al lthe way down to about Penacook. CON had a coating at the height of it, but when I left there a little after 8a it was gone. 30.7F and +SN now at 10am on 5/9. Pretty insane for here. I did not click the link because I assumed it was garbage, so I am not sure how "widespread " it was noted. It might have even been an NBC link. It is historic in temp and snow at many locations though. The air mass itself is 5 standard deviations from normal.

He’s totally ignoring the airmass part now. He will likely try and claim that when it hits mid-40s for a high, that the same thing happened last year even though it was onshore flow and sheet drizzle (and will ignore the low temps).

When NYC is breaking record lows you know it’s a legit airmass. This morning temp of 34 broke the old record and coldest temps since 1891 in May.

wxeyeNH
11:15am. Snow flurries, blowing snow with winds gusting to 30mph. 32F is extremely impressive for May 9th for near mid day. There was almost no snow down at Newfound Lake level (586 feet) but almost 3" at my elevation at 1100 feet. At this elevation we are having mid winter blowing snow right now. Then below us is a band where the snow was very wet and clung to the trees. Beautiful earlier before the wind. Go further down in elevation the trees are in bud with small leaves and the grass is dark green. Really interesting to live in an area with elevation differences. Far cry from my days living in Metro Boston. Picture from earlier this AM before wind
