magpiemaniac
Intermittent periods of light rain this evening. Standing at 2.4” for Tuesday. The action really gets going for the Triad on Wednesday and Thursday. I’d say the over/under for around here is 5.5” total for the week.

NorthHillsWx
Getting frequently sustained easterly wind gusts into the mid-30's at the coast this morning. Very, Very heavy rain off and on all morning, really need a rain bucket at the house here in Morehead. Had a heck of a lightning storm push through at 5:00. Woke me up with house-jarring thunder and sharp cracking lightning. First lightning here of the event Looks like we are getting in the moisture train today, not that we've had any lack of rain, but it's been off and on since the tropical storm. mjwise
Aside from the rain, Blacksburg's high was 48 degrees Wednesday, a new record low maximum for the date. The old record was 50 in 1981.

NorthHillsWx
From 4:30 this morning till now (1:45PM) it has been NONSTOP rain/thunder. Rain has gone from "frog-strangling heavy" to "take the dog for a walk with raincoat" light but it has not stopped. On top of the tropical storm rainfall and rain all week, I'd say wet is an understatement.

Iceagewhereartthou
Yeah, humidity really up there after all thed rain. If i can dodge 90 i should be good to go for awhile, 76-83 for the next 15 days for me, not too bad as we start June.

Iceagewhereartthou
GSP shot up 4 degrees the past 45 minutes and hit 90 for the first time. I'm actually surprised. It was only forecast for 87, and with all the wetness I didn't think it would come close to 90. My high so far is 85.5, now down to 82.2 with mostly clouds. CLT just hit 90 as well. Iceagewhereartthou
Red radar returns have been literally been parked over the Pelham Rd /85 interchange for a solid hour. They must have gotten a couple of inches or more and there could be some flash flooding in that Eastside/Greer area.
Wow
Awesome storm! Best one in a couple years. ALready 1.8" in 20 min. Big thunder & lightning, gusty wind.. some small hail. Slow moving too
Iceagewhereartthou
Well officially GSP hit 89 so no 90 yet. The rain is just reaching crazy levels this year though. Through today, GSP has recorded 39.97! This is an incredible 21.4 inches above the normal of 18.57. There is still a week left in May and it could well see another inch or several this week. I was blanked today (which I'm happy about) but I am up to 49.02 in for the year so far!
