Black flies are very hungry, Got bit up good the last 2 days.

They haven't even come out to check the menu here, though the cluster flies and some midges are out feeding the birds.  Week after next for blackfly bites in my area.

They were out in force here over the weekend.

Looks like that was with precip and onshore flow. If we had that, we would struggle for 40. This airmass is like 5SD.

Yeah here it is....it's not the same as the current progged pattern with the whole northeast corner of the country under sub-530 thicknesses. Cranky just doesn't want to admit how dead wrong he was on the cold reload into Canada. If we got a low in that position with precip in this coming airmass, we'd be 8-10 degrees colder than last year's storm.

God help you if you post a 384 hr map in January showing a HECS.  Wiz will rip you a new one.   But in May it's perfectly acceptable to post a 384 hr map showing nice breezy W-E flow.    OK

interesting how April quietly went nearly snowless, with certainly no disruptive events here and many other areas of sne. I had 1" which is rather putrid for any April, nevermind a winter one...given the near -4 departures and non-stop snow hype by some.

You’re trying too hard again.

Well that warmth was fun while it lasted.

43F here now and snow falling on the web cams above 2000ft.  Mid/upper 30s with snow showers in the Adirondacks where the cold is a bit deeper.

Windows and doors wide open until 9pm last night felt like early summer, and now the heat has kicked back on.
