rnj79
This is my first post and all I can say is WOW! Such incredible information from everyone. Thank you all for what you do! I live in West Baton Rouge Parish and am curious about the latest MD from SPC. In your opinions, do you feel my area is included in that disco, or is the east of me? Sydney Claridge
Baton Rouge seems to be on the back edge of the discussed activity. Storms out by Hammond look to be more of a concern.

1900hurricane
Here's the overlay of the LIX and BMX soundings from 21Z. In between where the massive tornadoes were was probably the best of both, especially in the low levels.

Radtechwxman
Definitely a noticeable downward trend in tornado activity now. I think those two supercells went gangbusters from an hr or two because they were moving more east than north initially in a very favorable thermodynamic environment. As they got east they started moving more north into a less potent environment. Seems like things have got messy again. Best chance for more significant tornadoes would be for anything down south to deviate more east. That was a short duration albeit very violent few hours of tornado madness. Might see a major qlcs get going later

1900hurricane
Gong to be interesting to see if the impressive low level lapse rates remain on the 00Z LIX sounding assuming the storms don't overtake them by then.
hlcater
Going to have to watch this mess of convection here to see if something can organize out of it and move into the PDS watch in S AL. The environment down that way is still incredibly conducive for long tracked tornadoes and supercells. It is in veered flow for the time being, but flow is more backed in MS/AL. There also wasn't a lot of focus on them the past couple days with everything being focused on LA/MS/AL. Some pretty startling soundings on the HRRR along the SE coast especially. They just don't see tornado potential like this right along the coast. 22Z HRRR soundings are similar from Savannah up through Charleston..... Sydney Claridge
Surprised those storms from Meridian to Tuscaloosa are not stronger. Inflow should be somewhat unimpeded. Not that I would want them to be any stronger; I have relatives of my family that live in the Eutaw, AL area.
