Ikf is a very good defensive player and just a "stop Gap" till the Yankees top prospect volpe gets called up ..

The 26-year-old won the 2020 Rawlings American League Gold Glove Award at third base, along with the Rangers 2020 Player of the Year Award, as voted on by the Dallas-Fort Worth Chapter of the Baseball Writers Association of America. He transitioned to shortstop in 2021 and posted a .972 fielding percentage (19E/669TC) at the position, leading Major League shortstops in total chances (669), assists (436) and double plays turned (98). Kiner-Falefa also ranked tied for third among MLB shortstops with 10 defensive runs saved, per The Fielding Bible, trailing only Houston’s Carlos Correa (20) and Minnesota’s Andrelton Simmons (15). Additionally, he has played 73 career Major League games at catcher, posting a .996 fielding percentage in 586.0 innings behind the plate with just 2E and 8 passed balls.

Good info.

For those who work out (I think BuffaloWeather does)...is taking a week off from lifting detrimental or helpful?  I haven't been to the gym since Tuesday.  Got busy with other things and just felt like I needed a break.  Definitely getting back in there after work.

There is nothing wrong with taking a week off. It would be more helpful than anything, your body needs time to heal. Especially being true if doing really intense workouts. Even more so as you get older.

Thanks.  Heard it can be helpful but figured I'd verify with some experienced lifters.  My training definitely took a hit during the peak of Covid but I've been in a pretty good groove for the last several months.  I do feel recharged.

These are the unvaccinated players on the Yankees.. Pretty much their best players lol

Aaron Judge
Gerrit Cole
Giancarlo Stanton
Joey Gallo
Jameson Taillon
Luke Voit
Clay Holmes
Kyle Higashioka

What I question is the consistency of these rules.  Why can Kyrie Irving be in the stands, two feet away from the Nets' bench and not be allowed to play?  What is the difference at that point?  Why let him in the arena at all if public health is the concern?  I'm vaccinated and boosted but logic tells me that a lot of these regulations just don't make much sense.

Completely agree with @BuffaloWeather  Taking a week or even longer off can help, especially if you’re lifting heavy and constantly straining your CNS. I just had ten days off for vaca and my workouts when I got back we’re awesome.

Anybody want to bet that this gets the mayor off his butt to lift the workplace ban on unvaccinated employees. Imagine the outcry if these players can’t play home games for the Yankees. I’m not sure who this applies to on the Mets but I’m sure it’s some big names there too.

How was your trip?

Awesome. Probably more history in Barbados than any of the other islands we’ve visited. Beach’s we’re ok, food was great. Highly recommend the local rum, especially some of the drinks. I had a rum martini that had sage in it and it was crazy but incredible.

Pretty bummed we lost Wallace for that contract. Especially with no guarantee that white comes back 100%.

I have to trust the process on this one...there has to be some other direction McBean or Wallace wanted to go. Wallace might want a shot and showing he can be a #1 cb and wouldnt be able to prove that in Tre's shadow.

I hope but seems extremely risky. We have little to no DB depth if Tre isn't 100%. Virtually assures we go DB at pick 25. WR is very deep this draft. Hoping we get Chandler Jones at a decent price. Von Miller would be great too.

I think they will change that law before season starts. Makes no sense, they are outside and covid transmission is at an all time low in NY.

Corner is a really hard position for a first year player, even a first rounder, to play well as a rookie.

We have some tough QBs to face next year……

At that price I would have kept Levi.  Oh well.

WOW!!! LETS GOOOO. And OJ HOWARD!! Underrated move! I don't like the 6 years at all, but after looking at contract further I bet its only a 3 yr deal and than can escape easily. Spread out over 6 to give higher salary.

Full details haven't come out yet that I have seen..

Miller's deal is worth $120 million, according to multiple reports. Sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter it includes $51.5 million guaranteed, including $45 million fully guaranteed at signing.

Yep, It was bodog (https://www.bodog.eu/sports/baseball/futures-odd) I saw Houston/Toronto tied and another article also had some tied. "According to Tipico Sportsbook, the Los Angeles Dodgers are the favorite to win the World Series in the upcoming season, at +600. The Houston Astros and Toronto Blue Jays are next, at +900, with the Chicago White Sox, New York Yankees and New York Mets each at +1000"

I think the AL East this year sends 4 teams to the playoffs with the expanded playoff spots.

lol nice call!  I’m a bit surprised how fast they are dealing right now.  They know if there gonna win one it’s gonna be next year or never.  Love all these moves so far.  Stacked with all our draft picks and an extra 6th and 7th.  Can scout out some good rookie talent to fill our voids. Trust the Process!
