wncsnow
Flash flooding occurring in Western McDowell County. 4 to 5 inches the last 2 hours near the Blue Ridge https://www.facebook.com/176207762501721/posts/3264779163644550/
SnowDawg
That extra-tropical transition on the Euro looks like it could make for some pretty nasty weather in the mountains. With all the rain we've had tree damage could be pretty bad if it's right.

It has been a sloppy freaking mess all summer. Ridiculous. Hard to believe it was just 4yrs ago that we were building toward conditions that would lead to the costliest wildfires in our areas history. Feast or famine around here.
wncsnow
We had .70 today and are now over 10 inches for the month. Thank goodness the ridge built in enough to keep Laura far enough west. If she came up through Georgia it would have been bad
Moonhowl
The Laura forecast track is inching back in our direction; don't want any part of it.
kvegas-wx
I cant think of any other year when I didnt run my sprinkler, not even once. And my yard is an absolute wreck. My flowers dont even look good, too wet! So I agree with you about Laura. If it didnt rain for all of September I would be fine with that at this point.
Met1985
Looking out in la la land it looks like we might actually see some fall temps in September. Im debating firing up the fall/winter thread up next week.

If I remember correctly that coloring means a cold start and finish but the core of the winter will be warm.
calculus1
Another 0.91 inch of rain today. Maybe more tonight? Unsure. Up to 15.53 inches for the month of August. Just need 4.5 inches more over the next ten days to make it to 20. That's doable. Right? Tropical storms in the mix for next week... Sent from my moto e5 supra using Tapatalk Well, the latter portion of the month of August was much drier IMBY. Gonna round out the month with 16.43 inches of total rainfall unless I get any rogue sprinkles in the next hour. Still very impressive but not quite historic.Sent from my moto e5 supra using Tapatalk
