Tyler Penland
NAM is really intent on that (deform-ish?) band this evening laying down snow at elevation. Tries to work it down into Boone too around 0z. Where was this when it was cold?

FlatLander48
Light sleet fest in Boone. Nothing sticking of course, but can hear the constant tap of it hitting the window.

Met1985
The 18Z NAM is very aggressive again for tonight and tomorrow with upslope snow. We could even see some snow break containment over the mountains tomorrow.

Tyler Penland
Snow on Sugar now. Not sure if it'll drop low enough for us here at the house but banner elk should be in good shape.

Buckethead
Even with quite a bit of melting I'm almost at 3" now. It continues to fall at a really good rate. If it were colder this would have easily been the best snow of the season! Go figure lol.
Buckethead
I think it's just about over, just down to flurries now. Didn't quite make it to 3" in my yard due to melting but made it to 5" at 5300' (still snowing up there). It was a decent little event for April!
FlatLander48
Well. I'll consider that a complete wrap at this point haha. Got an internship - possible job offer- to move to Hilton Head at the end of May, so this may in fact have been my last winter here.

That's a beautiful (but muggy) part of the world. Edisto Beach is one of my favorite places anywhere.

It's really eerie here though without many people. I've never seen it like this. As some know, my wife is a MD and she made me come to this house because she was afraid that she would bring it home to us. Worried about the ole' girl. Be safe mountain folk and hope you have great spring and summer weather. We deserve a hell of a winter next year!
