Question for you Stebo (and Hoosier) -- curious as to why you don't comment when someone posts "go big or go home" or "500k here we come"?

Because I actually understand that Alek is full of shit and not worth wasting time over.

Those with weakened immune systems or pre existing conditions should be taking extra precautions and not going out.  The rest have no reason to not be out and about.

Unfortunately there's no wall between the young and the old. Some, especially the poor, live in multigenerational households and cannot distant much from their parents and their grandparents. The poor essential workers have really taken it on the chin, and the socio economics is why we see that black folks are dying at about double the rate to white.

220,000 out of 8,000,000  comes out to about 2.75. Percent. Sounds like a small number until you do the math. 2.75% of the population (330,000,000) comes out to about 9,075,000 DEAD if we go the herd immunity route.

The ifr is more like 0.5 to 1 percent. Its closer to 1 to 2 million if left unmitigated.

The percentage may be slightly off (97% - 99%) but you get the point.

418,000 Americans died in WW2 over the course of roughly 6 years of combat.

Over 215,000 Americans have died so far in less than a year of Covid with studies on excess death indicating the deaths from the direct and indirect effects of the virus exceed this number.

Meme all you want. It's pretty heartless.
