KamuSnow
Almost continuous ctc lightning (or thunder at least) here ahead of this incoming line. 58F currently.
KamuSnow
Lots of hailstones bouncing on the lawn here - pretty cool!

The thunder right now is a bit better actually. If we can get storms this frequently without the warmth, then April and May should be fun.
BBasile
Actually, the lightning is really not bad right now. Not much in the way of CG, but IC lightning is pretty good. Hoping for some small hail!
BBasile
No hail here, but it looks like there is a good deal of it near Franklin Township.
Hurricane Agnes
Sun finally popped out here after being overcast and either foggy or misty all day - with the 2 rounds of showers to finish it off. Ended up with 0.14" from them (the line started breaking up as it was approaching here. Temp did make it up to 55 before the rain came in (low was 47 this morning). Currently 52 and mostly cloudy but with plenty of sun getting through the broken deck.

Have been watching that as it blasted into South Philly, strung itself out, and then reformed on the other side of the river.

KamuSnow
Since I'm posting pics, had to show the White Magnolia, about in full bloom, also about 2 weeks early this year. Been warmer than normal, but kind of a slow roll early spring, so thankfully so far so good. You can smell it from 100 feet away if you're downwind of it. Smells great!
KamuSnow
And one more, from January 19th this year, the one and only snow pile of the winter, the day after we got 3/4" of snow on 1/18/20. Scraped about 400 feet of driveway to get it this size, lol.

ChescoWx
After today's dreary day Chester County PA we will finish with our 10th warmest (46.2) average monthly temperature for March since records began in 1894. Of note 4 of the 5 warmest March's on record happened before 1950 back - back when we had a warmer March climo....the top 5 are below: 1921 - 51.5 1945 - 51.3 2012 - 49.5 1903 - 48.4 1946 - 48.

RedSky
What is up with the mostly sunny afternoon forecast? It's as cloudy as original forecast.
RedSky
Crazy active pattern through the long range we can't go more than 2 days without a disturbance crossing through, and this on top of the last two weeks. It's like an El Ninio pineapple express i don't get it.

CMC is hella BN temps too. Go figure. Perfect pattern for January sets up in April with a raging EPO ridge, +PNA, -AO, -NAO lol
RedSky
Yeah it takes a humongous north atlantic block to retrograde a low like this, when do we ever get snow from that lol. But still trying to comprehend how we go from a rocket fast progressive flow to a retrograde low in a blink.
JTA66
I'd have to go back and check, but I think the storm in late Feb 2010 was a retrograding low. Pouring rain in SNE and dumping snow from NYC south. Back to the current pattern... Most useless -NAO ever!

Or is that locked down? I could kill two birds w/one stone. Booze and a haircut...

They're open because they also make hand sanitizer, and they deliver. Shhh....don't tell anyone. I've been watching You Tube videos on how to cut your own hair. Working up the courage to give it a shot.
