wolfie09
Soon this will be a Watertown event lol Hard to go against the rgem which has been mainly wsw from the start..I learned my lesson last year lol
SouthBuffaloSteve
FWIW... BTV locks the Ontario in place for quite a while. 5”+ of liquid, obviously some of that would be rain on the front end but still.
MJO812
Redfield is the place for be this week. Have fun guys
wolfie09
Here was the 12z NAM.. I'm thinking 12"-18" is a good call not 30"-36" or 48" lmao Maybe up by Carol.. Even the btv4k has most the heaviest to our north...

wolfie09
Definitely has huge bust potential as the NWS has 20"-30" by Friday morning lol This is a tough forecast for swva.. Granted still more to come, maybe lol
tim123
I think the synoptic is a 2 to 4 inch deal for buffalo. Maybe a inch in roc.

wolfie09
Arw with it's big time southern bias looks good..Push everything north by about 20 miles lol No way the Fulton area has 2 feet by Friday morning lol
rochesterdave
The synoptic looks like a bust. Enjoy the lake effect up on the tug you three people
rochesterdave
Not a great scenario for Rochester or really anywhere on the south shore. I’m not gonna hold my breath on what will likely end up a dying transient band late FRIDAY. Lol I should drive up to the Tug....

I’ve been up many times and Carol gets 3’ and I get 6”. Really hope that’s not the case, but always on the table.

SouthBuffaloSteve
Losing a lot of confidence for the synoptic portion around BUF. All the 12z runs coming in weaker on accumulations... Pretty consistent in the 4-6” range now. It’s all gonna hang on how quickly we can change over tonight and just how much precip is left to work through once we do. lakeeffectkid383
Should be an advisory for northern areas. 4-8” from synoptic, maybe keep it warnings because of strong winds.
rochesterdave
Man! It was close to a big one. Really. Really close. Games not over, but the other guidance came in west and late on changeover etc. Really close, did I say that? Lol
swva
Wolfie - almost every model still gives us 24”+. A lot of the short range models stop at 12z Friday. Best snows for us may still be yet to come Friday. I’m staying optimistic for now haha

I don't know exactly where we are planning on going, I'm just along for the LOLs.

Half of the reason I never chase is because I don’t have anyone to do it with. It’s a little intimidating thinking of just driving into that beast alone. If you get stuck with buddies, it’s fun, if it happens alone, it gets a little weird. Have fun bro! Go deep
wolfie09
NWS has a high end of 48"-60" right over Carols house lol (litterly) They have a low end of near 2 feet here and expected 36"+
Leelee
Storm looks a fair amount NW of where latest model runs were suggesting. Grand Rapids was like the projected line where snow cut off, and they're getting a few inches. That may be a bad sign for Buffalo snow.

Very difficult to get a track up the apps (Well northern foothills/ CNY) , it always wants to ride the lakes plain or jump East to Albany.
