The antecedent airmass is actually not bad ahead of the D5 system....good 1040 arctic high...problem for the coast is that it is retreating eastward as the storm approaches, so you'd prob get a tight gradient just inland. This is assuming something like the Euro verified of course....which we know the caveats this far out.

A fitting end to a pathetic season. Plowable will probably be a few towns inland from me.

1.25" of snow up here this morning.  33.9F very light rain mixed with catpaws at noon

I've been so involved with virus news I have barely been following the extended weather.  Nice to see the Euro.  Just took a quick looks at the 12Z GFS.  Has the system too, still quite far south but it seems a bit further north than the 6Z run
