First day of paid leave for COVID-19, surreal in a way.  Frigid sunny Sunday in mid-March with nothing to do.

High of 27F so far here in the valley, finally a cold sub-freezing day now that no one wants it.

Walking the dog on the backyard Rec path as the snow doesn’t melt today...but man time to rip the band aid and get rid of this crusty icy stuff.

NOAA has been having a TON of problems with their products since like the summer. The NWS hazards map, SPC outlooks, perhaps others too. UGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

@OceanStWx what's been going on???

More or less continually adding products and services without upgrading the computers that handle them.

We have redundancies when things fail, but those fail-overs are growing increasingly unstable.

In gfs we trust

That bogus arctic outbreak the Garbage Forecasting System is showing going into April has as much chance of verifying as you finding a billion dollars in cash laying on the street in the next 10 minutes. That model is dreadful, by far the worst one out there

I don't see snowy in SNE. At least right now. Maybe the nrn boundaries near VT and NH have some sort of mix or start with it later this week and also tomorrow morning.

Folks who give weight to day 16 on ANY model have left the path of wisdom.  :lol:
