Can it please stop being mostly overcast and in the 30s/40s?

I don't get how even after a relatively mild winter with our snowpack nuked by the end of the first week of March, proper spring still takes forever to get here.

People wanting to get out and "social distance" in 60s-70s and sunshine are gonna have to wait another 3-4 weeks at the least, and that's not gonna be pretty.

Crazy what a difference a few hundred miles can make.  Bone dry up here.  ~1.25" for the month.

Ended up having a last-minute rally this morning. Only was at 1.6" at 8am, but a burst of parachutes rained down after that. Was able to get up to 2.3" before the snow turned off. Immediate melting began, and now the snow is basically all gone. Still was a nice distraction from everything going on. My seasonal total is now up to 47.0".

I guess I have not been paying attention because I too had no idea Columbus had that much rain. Detroit is only at 1.58" precipitation for the month, was 1.39" before yesterdays snowfall. Toledo is only at 2.00", was 1.81" before yesterday's snow.

Think you should move further south. Temps are running nearly 5 degrees above normal for the month thus far in Madison. Not every March can be like 2012.

True, and I'm a little further north in latitude than there with a even more appalling cloud cover regime. Going to fight to get the F outta here long-term.

Thanks! I'm content if this was the last snowfall of the season. It was pretty, plus got daytime heavy parachutes. The 47.0" imby for this season is not bad at all considering how many storms have fallen apart.

38.4" here. There were some decent storms this Winter, cant complain about that. In my opinion storms falling apart was not an issue locally. Periods of sustained Winter and more frequent Lake effect and enhanced snow is what was really the lacking aspect.

After a high of 42 yesterday and some rain and snow overnight, temps are a little cooler today but still 35 degrees already, which isn't bad at all.  Thaw has seemed slow this year, the high water content of the snow pack is one reason.  Ready to call it a season... Itching to get outside and start spring projects and winter clean up... still a month out probably

In case anyone is missing snow, this is what it looks like at my house :P

Edit: 2:30 pm  37 degrees... what a difference the sun makes thumbnail.thumb.jpg.0ecb4c1591e56517a4a016edcbcb83bc.jpg

You could be looking at 3" of rain if the storms don't crap out.

Oh yeah, well on our way.  Now over 2.6", with almost an inch since midnight.  Torrential rain falling right now, so we'll blow by 3" in the next 10-15mins.  Lots of flash flooding going on from here down into the QC.

EDIT:  Just ran downstairs to check the basement, since this is the first very heavy rain event in the new house.  So far so good.
