CaryWx
Nice for most of NC to score this winter...finally Would have been great for some colder temps in the Triangle. We'd had a slog if so. Easily got plenty from the sky but BL temps killed us today.

SnowDeac
Wouldn’t have helped CLT (most likely) but frustrated for y’all further east that this “coastal” isn’t going to get going. If this was a true Miller A with a costal forming near and riding up the coast, the triangle and points east would be getting a foot. Thinking that’s what the NAM was honking on in its monster runs. Leesville Wx Hawk
Not official but took measures about 7pm and saw we got more. Not bad considering melting! Basically KRDU plus a bit here in the snow belt region just N of RDU and there is a difference as you already know. It seems we get a bit more enhancement when storms start to amp a bit off the coast which throws more moisture back into colder air and slows the western edge (back edge) down for a bit and sometimes retrogrades for an hour or 2, not much sometimes, but definitely noticeable other times which makes a big difference (again part of the Wake county gradient equation). The pivot is how we score more and part of the northern Wake advantage imho because we are cold enough to take advantage with perhaps a small degree of orographic lifting enhancement in the far NW side of the county. Just a to let y'all know I KNEW there was a HUGE Wake County gradient and insisted that we live in the most NW part of Wake county possible and we are a good gap wedge from Durham county (better schools in Wake but I digress). My wife was good and so am I. At the end of the day if you're a snow lover, MAKE sure that you live where you get snow! It's a must for us snow geese. Otherwise, it will frustrate you to no end. I had to go to a place that we had sledding every year and could enjoy it. There is a HUGE difference folks and it is real, at least for now.

Tullioz
I ended up with around 2" at my location in Eden. It wasn't until a couple hours after the snow had tapered off before I could get a final measurement, so some compacting and melting took place, it may have been slightly higher. I'm currently watching an area of snow that has developed in East of Roanoke over the past hour that is drifting to the south. Several of the models have been showing some additional accumulations for the northern Piedmont from this feature, so it will be interesting to see if that will be the case.

Snownado
Raleigh NWS says due to a fresh snowcover they have cut back temps for tonight several degrees. But with a strong late Feb sun will there even be any snow left by the end of today? Ive noticed in the past that a late winter sun can do a lot of melting even with cold temps.
