McMinnWx
I hope I’m wrong, but I don’t think we are going to get there in my neck of the woods. Sitting at 42/29.
JayCee
Light rain falling at 38.8 here in the foothills. My dewpoint remained near 35 overnight hugging the mountains, so I assume that's why rain can fall, while areas to my west (TYS), just started seeing it. Recent OBS at TYS shows 43/27. Temp dropped to 38.1. But with the dewpoint above freezing (34), I need some CAA to help out here.
Holston_River_Rambler
36/34 now. Correlation Coefficient showing the rain/ snow line slowly lowering as the yellows get closer to MRX radar site. WBIR's in house rain/ snow radar depiction shows the line just to my north. No clue how accurate that is though

JayCee
HRRR and RAP still not very friendly to anyone in the Great Valley. The new cage match is between them and the NAM which continues to show a switchover to moderate snow later this morning.
AMZ8990
Light rain on the west side of the state this morning, looks like a hangover to snow soon bough, I’ll let y’all know how it pans out on the west side of the state this morning.

John1122
Still virga here, nothing coming down to the surface under those returns. It's generally not supposed to reach the ground here until 8-9am anyway.
Jed33
Temp is currently 36 with a dewpoint of 27. I’m under yellow returns on radar and actually have a few flakes making it to the surface.
JayCee
Time to join the working world this morning. Too bad this isn't a Saturday like our previous event. That was a good day. Good luck to everyone. Hope someone here gets a good surprise.

JayCee
Stepped out to warm the car, and noticed the rain sounded "loud". Sleet/rain mixture falling now. Stuck at 36, but glad to see some frozen stuff making it to the ground. Seems to be switching back and forth.
Chattownsnow
Not looking too hopeful here north of Chattanooga. Hoping heavy returns later today could switch us over then.
Holston_River_Rambler
Hit some snow just north of Wartburg, but still rain here in Mossy Grove. Precip also got pretty light the further north I got.

John1122
Rogue flurry or two here. Have the upper support temps but not the QPF.
Jed33
Similar here too Powell. Temp 34. Dewpoint 31. Something that I don’t understand is that most, if not all the modeling, including the NAM has accumulating snow with dewpoints and of course temps around 33-34. I don’t think I’ve ever seen it snow and stick when the dewpoint was above freezing. Of course, we see it happen when the temps and dewpoints are crashing, but not this way usually? I guess the NAM is thinking the rates will be so heavy that will overcome the dewpoints and temps?

PowellVolz
It's got to be getting close. The CC shows just a tiny circle around the radar site now: Transition has got to be 1800’ ish at the most. In to work I crossed Black Oak Ridge which is 1400’ and it was at least 50R/50S. My temp gauge on my Jeep I figure is +1.5’ and I was at 36 coming over the ridge. .
