Now that part 1 is mostly done, time to narrow it up. We are seeing a mix of -SN/-IP/-ZR that seems to be changing from minute to minute.... but the -SN is clearly losing the battle as it's intervals are getting further and fewer between the IP/ZR misty stuff. Obviously kidding by the way, but I can see the range because there is uncertainty with the storm even now.

I went with this here on the sled site i forecast on, I didn't want to mess with two maps so i just did a combined, That was before these continuous tics NW. powderfreak
There's a ton of convection in the deep south. Always seems to play with these big southern lows.

wxeyeNH
26.2F Light snow grains. I have not cleared the cars or snowblowed the 3.75" off the driveway. If tomorrow is a 34F rainer with a quick change to snow at the end I would clean everything now. If it's a 31F ZR event then snow on top as the low pulls away with a deep freeze to flow at night then its best to wait till early Sat AM. I'm so tempted to clean this powder snow now but I'll be sorry if I have an icy coating on everything if tomorrow is cold enough to stay below 32F. Thoughts?? Don't usually ask backyard questions on the board but my stress level is pretty high with other stuff going on

The math checks out. It's good to remind everyone that ASOS measures an elevated flat surface, so not your typical power line or tree branch radial measurement. That conversion would be more like 0.15" ice.

If I don't snowblow and it ZR/IP all day tomorrow, it'll freeze hard like cement and I won't be able to clear it.
