I don't know whether it is as I get older I need sun but the past few years have been brutal. It's one reason we are so focused on job hunt outside the area.

Back up to snowy Vermont for a three day weekend. Can’t wait. Our pain had been their gain lately. Amazingly there is no snow south of Vermont, even in the high elevations of the Berkshires

I just spent 11 days on the road with a 6 of those in S Florida. As the weather broke last Sunday and the sun came out I felt different. By Monday afternoon in Key West I had been wearing sunglasses and short sleeves for 2 days and I was thinking more clearly and feeling better. Over the course of the week I definitely felt like I was functioning better overall. On the drive up it was clear and sunny and all was still well but waking up to the gloom and mud here yesterday sent me right back. I'm having the hardest time getting back in the game and working again.

Numerous maxes in the 4 to 5 sd range this winter. January 25th was my last heavy rain storm since December. But a ton of small and medium rainfall events. Since at least Fall 2018 we have been stuck in this horrible overall pattern of grayness. A start to finish blue sky day is a rarity.

Mjo looks to improve but the Ao and Pv are still way to strong. It could not be a improvement even if we are in the cold phases. Just need to wait and see. I think if we do get anything it will be in the first week of March.
Barman49
Unfortunately it looks like aside from some snow showers or a storm or two that has a quick front end snow to rain that this winter is over. Nothing has changed in months so I don't see how between now & mid March we get changes so drastically. I guess we could get extremely lucky with a thread the needle MECS system but not holding my breath. Two shitty winters in a row but nothing we can do we've been lucky. Let's see 10 months from now if the pattern has changed. I've given up this year. Sent from my GM1925 using Tapatalk

The forcing may push on the SE ridge but the flow has no Arctic influence. You are left with a muted effect if the heights can`t build over the top.
